Unless you use an ODBC bridge solution like openlink software has. Install the openlink server on the ingress box and openlink client on the other machine. Not free though!

This should be available from CA but it will depend on the clients license. Even if you use the ODBC connection, it still needs to be setup to talk use the Ingres Net client installation so unfortunately there is no way around it.
