Yes, certainly I noticed that - that's the first thing I looked for!
I have posted the bug (using a cut-down version of your script). It is viewable at:
http://rt.cpan.org/NoAuth/Bug.html?id=1956
I also posted another bug that I found regarding '\'s being interpolated in BLOB data by the mysqlPP driver prior to being inserted:
http://rt.cpan.org/NoAuth/Bug.html?id=1957
I have reverted to ActiveState 5.6.1 as I couldn't find the DBD::mysql driver for 5.8.
Another very curious problem I have found is that if the table is named 'testtable' rather than 'b_table', the truncation of the blob data is even more severe... strange but true (for my setup anyway)...
Cheers,
Laird
PS Did you notice one of the blobs was about 50 bytes short? I should have emphasised this the first time.Driver: mysqlPP. SQL: create table b_table (b_value blob). File name: /temp/configure-apache.zip. Blob file size: 16249 bytes. Expect: 16249. Blob ram size: 16249 bytes. Expect: 16249. Blob db size: 16197 bytes. Expect: 16249. -- Cheers Ron Savage, [EMAIL PROTECTED] on 20/01/2003 http://savage.net.au/index.html
