Hi All,

It's been a while since I've been on the list but I have been checking the
archives as necessary.

This note is in regards to the errors received trying to compile the
DBD::Oracle-1.12 distribution with Oracle 8.1.6 server. You may remember the
message:
"You must install a Solaris patch to run this version of > the Java runtime. ".
What I wondering is why this problem with the DBD module, can't be fixed or
corrected to run with the base Oracle installation. There are people out here
that need to use both DBD and the Radius(Java) that is standard in the base
install?
Although 'crippling' the Oracle install certainly seems in vogue it would make
much better sense to fix the DBD.
Any opinions?
