Hi I have installed DBI/DBD many times on Solaris without any glitches like this one.
Please excuse these questions, but ... What is the source of the DBI module ? Which user are you logged in as ? In the Oracle environment, is OCI installed ? Have you tried CPAN to install ? Slightly off topic, but what is the process trying to do at this point. Please use ps, top and lsof and any other tools you can think of to find out what is happening.
