I haven't tested any of this, but I think it will only work reliably with Win32::OLE version 0.16 (released Oct 18th, 2002) and later, preferably with Perl 5.8. Earlier versions of Win32::OLE had incomplete support for round-tripping Unicode. Cheers, -Jan
