Hello all,

I have downloaded the latest version of Perl from ActiveState. After
successful installation, I entered ppm3 at the command prompt. Once at the
ppm prompt, search DBI showed me a lot of files. I then typed installed
DBI.ppd and here's where the problem is: it came back to the E:\ prompt (the
drive where I've installed Perl). It didnt give me any message whether it
was
successfully installed or no. Later, I wrote a simple program to list the
drivers which was given in Programming the Perl DBI by Tim Bunce. But on
compilation, it gave me the error -
"Cant locate loadable object for module DBI in @INC (@INC contains
E:/APerl/lib E:/APerl/site/lib\ ) at E:/APerl/lib/DBI.pm line 182
BEGIN failed - compilation aborted at E:/APerl/lib/DBI.pm line 182 "

Where do I go from here?? Did I go wrong somewhere?? Is the DBI properly
installed?? Please help me.
I'm using Windows 2000 and will be using the MS-SQL databse for connecting
to a database.

Kindly help me at the earliest.

 Waiting,

 Thank u,
Trupti
