Not likely. If by "Pg" you mean the Pg.pm of pgsql_perl5-1.9.0 here:
http://search.cpan.org/~mergl/pgsql_perl5-1.9.0/
then you definitely want to go with DBD::Pg. The Pg module was last updated
in April of 2000, and lists as requirements Postgres 6.5 and Perl 5.003 (!).
