The biggest issue is that you are connecting to SQL Server and not getting multiple result sets (seemingly). I wouldn't worry about it, unless your application needs to handle multiple result sets in a single query. Also, on Solaris, FreeTDS and DBD::Sybase is probably the way I'd start, just because that's more of what they are made for... Jeff
