To the best of my knowledge, MS Access provides no listener capable of accepting connections without an ODBC DSN being present. However, you can set up a DBI proxy on the windows machine and use DBD::Proxy to connect. A DSN needs to be available to the proxy server, whether it's a system or a user DSN is up to you. DBD::ODBC must also be present and available to the proxy server.
