Excuse me if I have misunderstood something here - but that patch looks like something I have been looking for for some time. I just checked the svn repository for DBD::ODBC (at http://svn.perl.org/modules/dbd-odbc/trunk) and couldn't see your changes there. Have you sent the patch to Urlwin?
