I guess my comment is in an windows environment (where, for my sins, 2
clients live) I think you are normally in an threaded environment.  I
think IIS also uses threads for .plx processes. I think apache.org
recommends that their server also should be run threaded.  I got in on the
discussion late (sorry), so if current AS perl and related DBI.pm is
thread safe then its a non-issue.
