Thank you very much for the information. Actually, I
was unaware of this permission issue.  Is the
permission issue a general issue or specific to 64 bit
installation? Because I did compile and installed
DBD::Oracle for oracle 10 client in 32 bit Linux
machine, which looks ok (so far). Though I know, some
people having issue with it.   Do you know if
DBD::Oralce was tested for 64 bit machine? and if it
was, then what was the out come?
