I downloaded DBI 1.607 but it complains about the perl version - needs
perl v5.8.1.
You could go back to an older version of DBI, but you are going to miss
out on many bugfixes and enhancements if you don't run the latest
version. Far better to upgrade Perl (to 5.10) if you can. FWIW, version
5.8 of Perl came out way back in 2003.
