Hi,

be assured it is no principal problem.

In my last project we worked with Sybase ASE15.7 SP50 and DBD::SYBASE.

Actually i do not have acess to such an environment and can't help you further
on.

Betreff: RE: DBD::Sybase not working for Sybase ASE15.7

Hi experts,

I'm not sure whether the email list still works... because
sybper...@peppler.org<mailto:sybper...@peppler.org> is bouncing my email.. :)

We got a problem when using DBD::Sybase with Sybase ASE15.7. The error message
is as below:

Sybase CSI Error Message: Invalid directory
/home/sybase/sybase15.7/OCS-15_0/lib3p64/sybcsi.
Error Connecting to Database as:
DBI Error Message:
Message String: ct__string_extended_encryption: user api layer: internal common
library error: Client password encryption fails.

Looks to me the new installation doesn't have a directory sybcsi.
also Sybase website provided the reason why the dir was removed:
http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.infocenter.dc20155.1550/html/newfesd/BABIFHIC.htm

So, from our side, we don't have solution for this now.

Could you please check and suggest?

Thank you in advance!

Regards,
Bryan Yin
