A historic first happened in our nation on Election Day, Which broke down racial barriers in a truly positive way. Fifty years ago, Black people were not allowed to vote or even sit in front of the bus, There was strife and quite a fuss. Of course Civil Rights legislation was passed and there improvements, as you can see, But nobody knew that we would have an elected black leader sailing our ship of state from sea to shining sea. A true pioneer, Mr. Obama truly is and in an inspiration is he, For he truly made history. >From this we should learn prejudice and discrimination are truly henious and >evil inclinations, We applaud his election with rejoicing and mirthful elation. may God bless Barack, and may he lead our ship of state into ports of stability, Creating a better nation and world for all humanity.
