This is also an important prophetic passage.
At the end of the Tribulation, Israel will accept the Lord Jesus Christ as
God,
Savior, and King. Jerusalem, the capitol of Israel, will become the world
center
of worship, education, and government (Isaiah 2:3).
The Jews are currently the most hated and persecuted people in all of human
history. The Gentiles have long conspired to murder the Jews, and steal their
land. But, with God the Son in charge, the Gentile conspiracy will be put down.
There will be a thousand years of peace, courtesy of the Jewish King and His
nation.
Thus will Israel arise and shine, giving light to the world, and fulfilling
their destiny.
