Subject: reformatted poem: Taxes are Due

Every fifteenth day of April, taxes are due,
That is a very tedious and unwelcome chore for both me and you.
There are complicated forms to file and complete,
certainly that is no fun treat

Sums of money we must pay
Unhappy we feel and unpleasant thoughts we express and say.

Then, there may be a possible audit or investigation,
That of course, is not a moment of great elation.
But paying taxes to our government is the American way,
But none of us look forward to tax day.
