The Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.

Dear Addison,
Now, our life would be pretty tough without hope! Alexander
Pope (1688--1744) once said that "Hope Springs Eternal," and
indeed it does for the children of our Heavenly Father.
After all God provides our hope for it is written; For what
is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we
will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus
when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are
our glory and joy.( 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20 )
And hope does not disappoint us, because God
has poured out his love into our hearts by the
Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.(Romans 5:5 )
Remember the words of the Sons of Korah*, for they said:
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so
disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for
I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
( Psalms 42:5 )
[ * Sons of Korah were temple musicians and assistants
who wrote some of the Psalms ]
Now this is because God has promised us; Then you
will know that I am the Lord; those who hope
in me will not be disappointed."
( Isaiah 49:23 )
So I pray that you will; Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. ( Psalms 31:24 )
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be
enlightened in order that you may know the
hope to which He has called you, the riches of
His glorious inheritance in the saints. Amen.
(Ephesians 1:18)
