Jesus said to them, "I am the bread
of life. He who comes to Me shall never
hunger, and he who believes in Me shall
never thirst.
( John 6:35 *NKJV )
Dear Addison,
We eat bread to satisfy our hunger and nourish our
human bodies. To nourish our spiritual bodies, we need
Jesus, for it is written;" Whoever drinks of this
water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the
water that I shall give him will never thirst. But
the water that I shall give him will become in him
a fountain of water springing up into everlasting
life." ( John 4:13-14 )
You see Addison, our spiritual food is the Word
of God, and Jesus is that Word, for it is written; The Word
became flesh and made His dwelling among us.
We have seen His glory, the glory of the One
and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace
and truth. ( John 1:14 )
Now there is a restaurant that specializes in Spiritual Food
right in your own neighborhood. It is also very easy to find,
and it's name is your local Church. A five star Spiritual Meal
should be served there every Sunday morning! You won't
need a reservation, just stop by and tell them that Pastor
Allen sent you. Amen.
