I'm actually going to go ahead and order this today, I think. The biggest change I decided on was going for SAS (on an Adaptec 4805SAS) instead of a pure SATA controller. I'm actually going to load the thing out with 10K SATA Raptors for now, and if that doesn't end up being fast enough I can always use 10K or 15K SAS drives in the future.
