Used it 1 year.

Like Matthew, did I mention Postfix?

4212 mailboxes, taking up about 25GB of storage in a PostgreSQL
database.

Moving several 1000's of messages daily, delivering several 100's.
I have 4 SMTP/POP/IMAP front ends with single database backend.
Would like to replicate the DB, but slonyI just wasn't up to the
task before.

Using Postfix + Amavisd-new (SA + SQL, clamd) + dbmail-lmtpd, about
to implement greylisting.

Once we worked out the bugs (mainly learning psql) it's be an
absolute breeze. There are some quirks, like trying to restore
a single users mailbox, but I'm almost around that hurdle.

Currently using 2.0.10, I have written 2 custom patches for
the 2.0 branch which are now incorporated into 2.1 and will
happily upgrade to 2.2 when stable.

Subject: [Dbmail] General survey on usage

Hi all,

We are currently evaluating the DBMail project to see if it would suite
our needs. Would a few of you mind answering a few basic questions?

How long have you been running DBMail?
What is your MTA of choice?
How many mailboxes are you hosting in DBMail?
What type of message volume are you moving through the system? Do you
have any SPAM filtering installed? How difficult has it been for you to
maintain your DBMail installation?

Thank you so much for your time! Please let me know if this type of
information is available online and I missed it!
