2.2.2 has bugs, but could any of them cause this behavior? If yes, then hooray, a planned upgrade will fix that anyway. But I don't remember that kind of symptoms. May be though.
Sieve should have nothing to do with IMAP. Only when mails are delivered to the LDA, dbmail-lmtpd and dbmail-smtp only.
