I agree and I belive others too, sasldb should be there by default.

I have this (standard openSUSE 10.2 modules):
# saslauthd -v
saslauthd 2.1.22
authentication mechanisms: getpwent pam rimap shadow ldap

Looks like I must compile it myself. I'll file a bug report on openSUSE too,
that shit should be inside by default.
