Betreff: Question about imapsync.

Hello,

I'm using dbmail imapserver, and I have another dbmail server as backup.

I want to backup serveral emailboxes, but not use the credentials of the
user wich "owns" the box.

So I create a "backup" user in my dbmail system, and give read access to
all the boxes I want to backup.

using imapsync:

imapsync --host1 dbmail1server --user1 sbon --authuser1
backupuser --password1 xxx \
        --ssl1 --host2 dbmail2server --user2=backupsbon --password2
xxxx --authmech2 LOGIN --dry

gives:

ill try to use PLAIN authentication on host1
Will try to use LOGIN authentication on host2
From imap server [192.168.0.2] port [993] user [spam]
To imap server [192.168.0.1] port [143] user [sbonbackup01]
Banner : No banner
Host 192.168.0.2 says it has NO CAPABILITY for AUTHENTICATE PLAIN
Frequently PLAIN is only supported with SSL, try --ssl1 or --ssl2 option

Whats wrong. I'm stuck here. Is it possible you can help me here? Do
have a clou?

Thanks in advance,

Stef Bon

PS I've already setup stunnel on the server dbmail1server, to make it
possible to connect via ssl.
