Hi Paul,

i already doublechecked that a dozen times.
Also: if OL would delete them, they would be deleted instantly and another
client wouldnt be able to fetch the same message again.
Also: it happens ONLY at 4am, when cron starts dbmail-util.

So why does util wipe messages when they are just being read by a client?

Also does not matter WHAT app is running. the same happens with thunderbird,
OLE, OL, Opera, iPhone, Nokia N95, Sony S1, p910i - yes i did check each of
these ONE device per time.

i really dont get it, why is this happening....

maybe ur users do not complain because they dont keep mails on the server at
all?!

Simon
PS: i will create a "situation" i can log. otherwise there is too much
garbage when lvl5 is running on a production server. ;)

Simon

I have plenty users doing pop3/leave-mail-on-server. Noone is complaining.

Please double check none of your clients is actually doing a DELE
command on the messages involved. You can use tshark or a level5 log to
verify this. If you're doing level5 logging, grep for 'command issued'.
