Hello everyone

I'm using DBMail 2.2.10 on debian Lenny 64 with postgresql for mail storage.
My setting is small : 15 users, between 7 and 15 GB of messages stored in the postgresql database per user, accessed by IMAP.
All clients are thunderbird, either running on windows or ubuntu.

My problem is that my users keeps on complaining the mail system is often very slow, sometimes they have to close thunderbird and reopen it so they can at last read some messages. I can't trace whats happening except that there are slow queries reported in the mail log. Besides, I've noticed that any message search, even using a webmail like squirrel mail (which is running directly on the mail server) is slowing performances for all users. In fact, no one can read (or perhaps even send) messages unless the search has finished. The search process itself is horribly slow, and I don't even try to search word occurrences in mail bodies, I restrict my searches to From or To fields. Even like that, I have to wait 5-10 minutes for results. Meanwhile, all users are stuck. I can't believe this is a normal situation for such a small setting, what can be wrong ? How can I trace what is happening ?

Thank you
