for test, manual run:

root# dbmail-pop3d -f /etc/dbmail.conf -p /var/run/dbmail-pop3d.pid -v

messages in dbmail.log:

[0x7b6f50] EMERGENCY:[pidfile] pidfile_create(+113): Cannot open pidfile
[/var/run/dbmail-pop3d.pid], error was [Permission denied]

But I running the daemon from root.
