Oh boy,
UPGRADING clearly states you need to run
dbmail-util -by
to refill the headercache tables
But perhaps not clearly enough...
I can't help chiming in with a word of caution: At least in dbmail 2.2,
dbmail-util -by would take a while to complete if the mail database was
large, and until it was done the mail service would be degraded as shown
in this thread. If dealing with a really big mail store (think hundreds
of gigabytes), a more elaborate upgrade procedure might still be a good
idea, e.g., one along the lines of what was discussed regarding the
header cache in <http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/dbmail/users/29982>.

i updated my main devel-machine
* stopped mail-services * imported "2_2-3_0.sql" * dbmail-util -y

all seems to run fine, BUT in my testfolder with several messages
copied from mailing-lists with attachments are no longer showing a
subject in the list-view of thunderbird nor does the list-view
showing the attachment-icon until the message was in the preview
interesting: my inbox without any attachment is showing subjects
new messages with attachments are also fine
i think they are not really damaged because while displaying a
single message is showing them and the fact that the attachment
icon appears after preview let me think the list is feteched in a
different way as the whole message and something makes thunderbird
not happy
no idea currently if other clients have the same problem, i will
test this tomorrow and give feedback!
