Current efforts are underway to create internationalized versions of
Spotlight (see also the dbp-spotlight-developers mailing list
archive), for example Portuguese, Greek, Dutch. I'm not sure if it was
done for German already. Alexandru Todor said he would give it a try.
To use Spotlight in production, it is almost certain that you would
want some customization and tuning beforehand.
