Hi Sebastian, I think there's no particular reason. Just lazyness. :-) I guess it doesn't matter much because DBpedia is not (yet) in the central Maven repo.
Anyway, we can change it, and we probably should. I think the version should be 3.10-SNAPSHOT now because 3.9 is done and the SNAPSHOT version is supposed to be a pre-release version, if I'm not mistaken.
