Dear Shivani,
The role of the warm up tasks is twofold. The first and most important one
is to get you familiar with our project and make you more confident and
accurate with your application.
The second is of course for us to use it as an additional assessment factor
but we do not have any strict rules and formulas to calculate this, it
depends on the task(s) and the idea.
So yes, warm-up tasks and community activity counts but the final
application holds the main assessment factor.

We have the policy to keep everything transparent and public so any
interaction with students takes place in this list *only*. For now you can
also verify that you are the only one interested.
Please note that depending on how many students Google provides us, even if
you are the only student that applies for this idea, this idea might not
get picked up.
Last year we were lucky to have 4 students but we don't know what will
happen this year.

This is the process DBpedia Spotlight followed last year

You can either send your proposal in this list or wait until the
application period starts and submit it through the system.

There is no answer to that question :)
We are 13 mentors so there are 13 different votes for each application in
the end
