When they needed a name, Jerry flipped to a random word in the dictionary, and landed on a moniker we've come to love. But was this an omen for all the death and tragedy that was to follow? From Bilbo Baggins dying in the plain crash to poor Keith, 'til Jerry, this band's community probably would indeed have many grateful dead if the soul was (or is) immortal.
