I've been disturbed to notice that many transfers to CD's have talking and even some
music edited from the cassette to CD. The most egregious is my CD copy of 12/18/73
weather report suite does NOT have Phil saying "this is the quiet part folks" but
rather starts about 30 seconds into the song. In addition, my Cow Palace 2/24/74 is
missing the "See you next month at the Cow Palace" after Baby Blue and 11/19/72 CD is
missing Bob remarking that "In case you haven't already figured it out it's uptown
night tonight" and then a few seconds of music afterwards.

I wonder why the good folks that take the time to transfer the tapes to CD would leave
these out, especially given the completist nature of many folks who collect. In my
opinion some of the between song banter can be as entertaining and historically
important as the music, such as when Phil says "Quite a nice pipe whoever threw that
up here, thanks" on 7/18/72 first set, which, incidentally, was edited out on my CD
version.
