I don't know about band video, but in later years (particularly after Touch of 
Grey) local television stations would tape the opening songs, often set up at 
the soundboard. They were only allowed to be set up for the first two songs, 
after which they'd go home to make that night's newscast.

I've never seen this footage in circulation though. Most of this material would 
have been taped over by the station after a short period unless a Deadhead on 
staff was able to grab it.
