All:
we're getting ready for the next release, 9.3. That means that we're also
working our way through the last patches that need to be merged, along with
the open github issues that need to be fixed before the release.
So:
* If you have patches that you'd like to submit, do it now -- the deadline for
getting things merged is May 18.
* If you'd like to help us with a few of the open issues, take a look here:
https://github.com/dealii/dealii/milestone/8
* We've reclassified many things for the release after 9.3, but if you'd like
to tackle one of these issues already for 9.3, that would of course also
be great:
https://github.com/dealii/dealii/milestone/10
Many of the issues linked to above are not trivial, but if you are interested
in general in helping out in this project (before or after the release), we
have a list of "starter projects":
https://github.com/dealii/dealii/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Starter+project%22
I suspect that many of the names of these issues are not entirely obvious at
first, but if there is something you think you could contribute to, please
feel free to contact me or any of the other principal developers, or just
mention so in one of the issues: We would be *excited* to help anyone who
might be interested in writing their first patch!
Best & thanks in advance
Wolfgang
