I don't know I love what Valessio did here. I agree with what Jeorg is doing here, but I don't think this could/should be applied to promotional channels. Using newspapers/magazine is non-free, same case in case we manage to get TV station to follow whole DebConf, TV is non-free ...
I completely agree with what you said, but I think we should just keep it as it is, and am still of opinion to place this on main page above "Latest news".
