Thanks. Since I don't have a hardware synth I will try using the software espeak synth. I'm new to Linux, trying to convert over from the ever changing Windows. I have installed Vinux 3.0 and been learning and experimenting with it but it has a few bugs and I want to try Debian which hopefully has the bugs ironed out.
Right now I am trying to install Debian over the Vinux installation and having a problem with the installer freezing at the opening screen. The keyboard freezes up and I can go no further.
