I’d suggest that you’d be better off using an existing userid, rather than 
setting up a new “console” userid.  I don’t know how the deluge package in Arch 
is set up, but it may already have a preferred non-root userid.  Check 
/etc/passwd.

And, if you haven’t already done so, read all the manual pages and take a look 
in /usr/share/doc/deluge* for anything relevant.
