How much later is that? > Looks like at time of starting S38 espeakup, snd_hda_codec_conexant and > snd_hda_codec_generic are not yet loaded. That can explain the missing detection indeed. I don't think this can be a matter of starting udev early, but rather something like the HDA codec detection loop which somehow gets some huge delay. Samuel
