David,
I downloaded it again, but again Rufus says it got truncated and is missing
some of it again.
The first one didn't boot, but I will try this one because it is a bit larger.
I've never had an issue like this before.

Let's ask this in another, perhaps more helpful way.

Is there a way to easily install Debian for a command-line interface ONLY
installation with networking tools like nmcli and nmtui installed and basic
command-line browsers?

If so, how do you do it?

I believe this should be an option because many need and want this type of
system with speech but no graphics interface (GUI) at all.

Vinux had an iso that did exactly this, and it's still available at the
Archive here:
https://archive.org/download/vinux-debian-cli-distro/Vinux-CLI-max-2.1.iso

I highly recommend Vinux 2.1 - everything seems to work and even to upgrade
with dist-upgrade.

  David.

  Best wishes to all,

  David

I thought tasksel was there for this purpose. :)

I would start from scratch! ;^)

How is OMV ensuring that a DE is installed?

I do not understand how this could benefit the list.
