I guess I'll try > for as new as I can get. Good question; under RH 6.2 using GLIBC 2.1.3-6, there's no problem, AFAIK (yes, I know it's old, but it's *stable* for what I do). I don't make any attempt to keep current WRT GLIBC (or GCC) snapshots, so I really have no clue as to when changes might have been made in that area...
