For some reason, the version of menu in sid today won't work properly; instant core dump when running update-menus. Even putting a breakpoint on main() in gdb won't stop it before it crashes...
So, put menu on hold if you haven't upgraded it yet to 2.1.5-6.1 and if you have, you can get a fixed one (2.1.5-6.1.1) from incoming on auric, via ssh: auric.debian.org:/org/ftp.debian.org/incoming/menu_2.1.5-6.1.1_alpha.deb or from http://www.murphy.nl/~paul/debian/alpha/menu_2.1.5-6.1.1_alpha.deb Sorry for the disruption to normal service...
