Vic, I just tried to build galeon on the alpha using "apt-get -b source galeon" with the source coming from the Sid tree. Of course it needed lots of development libraries I did not have installed, so I installed them. It also wanted a newer version of mozilla-dev ! I thought this was interesting; it takes mozilla to make galeon !
Anyway it got pretty far into the build process, but alas, it choked and died on the following error message that sort of looks to me like a 32bit / 64bit issue. I think that galeon could become my browser of choice. It is fast like Opera, but it looks and operates like Mozilla/Netscape. It also has many neat features that make it superior.
