Kaffe fails -> jre not sdk
Sablevm also fails, tomcat4 say the same thing 'jre not sdk'. there is no 'kit' at ftp://ftp.tux.org/pub/java/
usable for 'alpha' older .tar.gz versions from 97-98 fail as well.
Could you try the suggestions on http://www.open-organizations.org/view/Socialtools/RabelaisTomcat ?
