Hello
Only booting from the network and cdrom boot are supported now :
http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/alpha/ch05s01.html
I advise you the netboot if you don't wat to look after external CD ROM
drives.
There is a good multi faq here also :
http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/alpha/multiafaq.html

Hi,
I have a Digital Multia machine which I want to "debianize".
Unfortunately I cannot get it working with a bootable CD.
Before I try different external CD-drives I wanted to test the floppy-
disk option.
But I don't find the /install/floppy content you are refering in our
readme.
I tried he first two iso-images but.
Could you please tell me, in which iso-image I would find those or you
may send me theses 1.4MB via email?
kind regards,
Markus Heidt
