Hello folks of the Debian community,I am a retired old physicist doing
numerical models in astrophysics and dynamics of complex systems. Among other
systems, I have 3 DEC Alpha PWS and I would like to ask: is there some chance
of having a Debian version for Apha newer than Lennie, even if unstable or
experimental, maybe as initiative of some of us?? (Of course if there is
something, it won't be anything "official", but that doesn't matter). So if
someone knows of a Debian-Alpha version later than Lennie, please let me know.
P.S. if someone has a 2-CPU Alpha omputer/workstation/server to sell or give
away, also let me know: I would probably buy it.
Thank you, and to all of you all the best greetings from Rome, Italy. Alberto

Oggetto: Porting Poly/ML
Hi,
I maintain the polyml package, and am working on porting it to more
architectures, once of which is Alpha. Could somebody with access to an Alpha
build environment please checkout the wip-ports branch of
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/users/jrtc27-guest/polyml.git and see if it
builds? A full build log would also be useful.
Many thanks,
James
