Well, thank you for your answers, I did try qemu yesterday and tried a full debian install with a qemu-system-arm command, it progres to 'installing software' up to about 30% then it loops (eating the cpu) I left it runnnin all night long, and killed it this morning.
I looked at variouis board cited, pandoraboard looks appeling, but I didn't fnd a distributor with stock and that can ship overseas. I look again.
