But with a 1.2Ghz clock is not much slower than beaglebone. You don't need a stock kernel, vanilla kernel work just fine (I've compiled kernel 3.6 and I had no problem at all). Thanks everyone for your advice. To recap: Sheevaplug is the easy way and has lots of plus (Support, user base, easy management, freedombox reference) but it looks so overpriced right now, especially specs wise when a more capable modern card is half the price :( I'll have a look at Cubieboard community and try to make up my mind.
