Piotr, I maintain the electrum package, which depends on aiohttp-socks. The current version of electrum depends on aiohttp-socks >= 0.8.4. I try to maintain a stable-backport of electrum as stable users often need the current feature set to interface with the electrum network. Would you be willing to backport aiohttp-socks or would you have any objections if I backported it?
