Greetings! Wouldn't it be great to be able to announce that the new Debian release has core scientific/parallel computing library support for as many architectures as possible? This would seem to greatly enhance the utility of Debian for these tasks.
So, in short, what architectures are people on this list using? The obvious big ones are i386 and alpha. Anyone using PPC, Sparc, or even m68k and ARM :-()! What do participants here feel would be important for this goal? Also, does anyone have a list of packages (say in our task-parallel-computing group) which have problem compiling on certain architectures?
